Mon 16th August, 2010 - Day 80 - Kalbarri

Today we explored the many hotspots at the southern end of Kalbarri National Park. The lookouts along the cliff-tops revealed magnificent scenery, which can more easily be described in the many photographs we snapped. The roads were all sealed, not like the northern section of the National Park which were unsealed and quite corrugated.
At some of the lookouts we spotted whales in the distance. They were too far offshore to get decent photos.
After lunch we returned to finish the lookouts, however the sky had darkened with threatening clouds and very strong winds. We were only able to do one more lookout before we were forced back to our van, where we spent our last night in this beautiful place.
