Tues 17th August, 2010 - Day 81 - Geraldton

Once again we were on the road by 8.15am heading to Geraldton. The scenery between Kalbarri and Northhampton was just beautiful, consisting of green undulating pastures with sheep and cattle grazing. This was in complete contrast to what we have been used to.

We stopped at Northhampton to take some photos of The Church of St Mary in Ara Coeli and the Scared Heart Convent which is now accommodation. These buildings were designed by Monsignor John Cyril Hawes who was also an architect.

From here it was onto Geraldton and to the Belair Gardens Caravan Park, arriving in rain at approx 11.00am. We were very lucky after reversing onto our site, the rain stopped for Poppy to be able to disconnect the van from the Patrol.

After lunch we went into town to the Tourist Info Centre, then to Woolworths to replenish our foods supplies.

Then it was back to the van for the night.
