Sun 27th June, 2010 - Day 30

We departed Cooinda at 9.20am after a great couple of days at this section of Kakadu. It would have been nice to have spent a lot more time at Kakadu as there is so much to see, however our schedule would not allow this. We were very happy with what we saw & did, that is the most important thing.

Peter , Jane, Col & Jan were travelling to Jabiru , then Darwin etc. Hopefully we will catch up with them again in Broome.

Arriving at the Low Level Caravan Park at Katherine at about 1.00pm we found the Muller’s site. They had arrived on Friday after spending time in Darwin. They were nowhere to be seen & we guessed correctly they may have been doing the Katherine Gorge Cruise. We thought it a bit rude that they were not here to do the meet & greet thing!!!!

Once we were set up we went into town to replenish our groceries. When we arrived back at the park the Maureen & Mick were already back from their gorge cruise – which they enjoyed. So guess what? it was Happy Hour time. After this we put a quick tea together then the four of us went over to the bistro area of the park where once again Geoff Evans was entertaining. Rex & I enjoyed another round or two on the dance floor.

Then it was home and time for bed. I have to admit it is certainly a hard life, this caravanning.

No, Toni we do not get to view Masterchef up here – which is a real shame.
