We are really settling in very well to this strenuous lifestyle as Rex slept in until 6.30am to 7.00am this morning & I didn’t emerge until after 8.00am. After dressing we were out talking to the neighbours, then Peter West appeared on the scene and we had not even had breakfast. After much discussion with Peter we decided to d a small walk here at the Cooinda Caravan Park, which we found out later didn’t lead anywhere other than to the bitumen road.
Upon returning from the walk the 5 of us decided to go for a swim in the pool here at the park. Yes I actually got in the water for a while as the temperature up here is in the low to mid 30 degrees. The swim proved to be very refreshing.
It was now 2.00pm and of course time to eat again (lunch) and then a rest before venturing off to meet the Evening Sunset Yellow Water’s Cruise at 4.10pm. We stopped by Jan & Colin’s Caravan as they were joining us on this cruise. Once again the bus took us to the wharf where the cruise departed at 4.30pm. Jan & Colin did not do the Sunrise Cruise so they were seeing the wetlands for the first time. Once again we all enjoyed the cruise, however Rex & I thought that the Sunrise Cruise was a little more enjoyable as there was a lot more birdlife and I guess they were just commencing their day.
We arrived back at the caravan park’s bistro where Jane & Peter were waiting for us, as we were all having dinner together. Of course what a meal we had. Each couple had a $50.00 dinner voucher, as we were staying 3 nights in the caravan park. We ordered 3 Reef & Beef meals and 3 extra dinner plates so each couple shared a main meal. Then there were enough funds left to purchase a desert for each person, so of course each couple ordered a different desert and had half each. The difference owing for each couple’s dinner was $1.00. Janice, eat your heart out!!!!!! It was all so yummy and we had a great night as it was our farewell dinner. We hope to catch up with Jane, Peter, Jan & Colin in Broome as they are also doing the half lap.
