It was a leisurely rise this morning as it was a catch up day. We had the washing to do again after being in Kakadu and before moving on through the Kimberley. When the washing was finished and the caravan work done, we joined Maureen & Mick for morning tea at their caravan.
After a quick lunch Maureen & I went into town to do a final shop – mainly insect protection as they are quite bad where we are heading. When we arrived back Rex & Mick went for a quick fish down at the Katherine River, which runs near the caravan park. Maureen washed their vehicle & caravan and I ironed and cooked whatever vegies I had left, as we cannot take fruit & vegies into Western Australian.
As we are tired we have decided not to go dancing tonight, instead we will have an early night as we hope to leave tomorrow between 8.00 and 8.30am.
Wow, 31 days already - how many altogether? You still have July, Aug, Sept left don't you? I guess it will all go tooooo quickly - since the first 31 have just flown.
ReplyDeleteDenise, don't you feel just awful that you are not at Goree for the end of the financial year?
Gee, swimming. You are certainly in the right place - a huge frost this morning, yesterday wasn't real warm either - Malcolm didn't thaw out until 10.30am.
I drove for the first time yesterday, so I suppose things will get back to normal - but not so normal as before!!!!
Well, thanks again for the good reading - cheers again for now, take care, luv ya both, Whiteleys, Browns, Gallos & Whiteleys
Forget Rex, shame about the fishing.
