This morning we traveled approximately 20km from Coober Pedy, to an area known as The Breakaways which as you can see by the photos is very scenic. Also near this area is the Dog Fence which stretches 5300km through South Australia, Queensland & NSW. It is the longest fence in the World & was built to prevent dingos from travelling from the north to south. We had morning tea near the Dog Fence sign. The fence is very ordinary looking but has larger netting & is a little higher than normal, a section can be seen behind The Breakaways sign. When we arrived back at Coober Pedy we strolled through the main street where we took some photos & checked fuel prices before returning to our homes on wheels where we had a late lunch sitting beside our van.
