I was out of bed at 5.30am today & promptly got into updating the Blog. At 7.30 I woke Grandee. After making the bed & having a wash we moved outside where I applied the colour to Grandee's hair. I think I am getting a bit faster at the process now. I don't think I missed too much.We kept our neighbours, from the sites behind, entertained. One of the wives came over & showed us the roots of her hair, which were grey for about an inch. No wonder she was wearing a cap. Grandee's roots could not be seen unless her hair was parted
By the time Grandee had her haircut, the morning was nearly over. We returned to the van where I prepared open face toasted sandwiches. which were quite tasty, washed down with a cuppa.
We received a text from Di, with the sad news that David's Mum had passed away. They were expecting her to go. It was a blessed relief as she was in a lot of pain. I called David later in the day.
I gave Barry & Helen (from Mudgee) a call on Skype. We had received a text earlier in the day telling us they were headed our way and were at Port Lincoln, at the bottom of the Eyre Peninsula. Hopefully we will meet them somewhere along the way.
We also called Harry on Skype as it was his fourth birthday & after singing 'Happy Birthday' and chatting for a while, we settled into a game of Scrabble which kept us entertained for the rest of the afternoon.
You guys certainly like to make a statement, don't you - your own private washing machine and Grandee's own private hair colourer!! ha ha - good work Poppy.
