Tues 10th August, 2010 - Day 74 - Carnarvon

We have been absolutely blown away by the fruit & vegetable growing industry, here in Carnarvon. I wish we could bring this town home to Mudgee. If we lived here we would never buy fruit or veggies from Woolies or Coles again. I'm afraid all good things must come to an end & we will be moving on tomorrow, further down the coast.

Today was spent on our 'must do' chores. I set up the washing machine for Grandee. Whilst she did the washing, I started washing the caravan & preparing for the bloke who was to re-fit the water tank. As it turned out he turned up much later than the intended mid morning start. This meant he didn't have time to do the job. We will now have to try to have the job done in Carnarvon.

Happy hour this afternoon was at our van, shared with Don & Lorraine who we had first come into contact with at Port Hedland, then Karratha, Exmouth & Coral Bay. They are retired High School teachers & hail from Sawtell, just below Coffs Harbour.
