The big event for today was the departure of Lindy & Neil.
I picked them up from their Resort at about 10am & brought them to our van, to wait until it was time to take them to catch their flight. We had a cuppa & at about 11am headed to the airport. Grandee & I waited with them until their plane was due to depart. It was a sad goodbye. Now we are alone in Broome, how will we survive?
After we had said our goodbyes we walked out of the Terminal to try & get a view of them taking off. Due to security fencing we could only see the plane through a mesh screened gate. As we were waiting another couple came along to view the departure & told us the flight had been delayed as eight indigenous children had not shown up. The plane was held up for about half an hour & departed without the children.
We received a text from Lindy at about 9pm WA time telling us that they had just arrived in Sydney & her bag was missing. Apparently as the plane had arrived late in Perth, the bag had not been transferred to the Sydney flight Lindy was left with no warm clothing or make-up etc. She was in for a rough night.
