Wed 21st July, 2010 - Day 54 - Broome

After normal duties this morning we picked up Lindy & Neil at about 2.30 pm & headed to Cable Beach. I drove the Patrol onto the beach at the access point as this was the day of The Camel Ride for the Geddes.

Soon the long lines of camels started arriving. Grandee & I set up beside the Patrol at a good vantage point & waited for the rides to begin then it was snap snap snap as the line of camels carrying Lindy & Neil filed past.

After the ride we walked up to the beach Restaurant where we purchased fish & chips for tea. We ate this early meal on the rocks near the Patrol whilst waiting for the sunset. It wasn't long before the last rides of the day started heading back along the beach. We got some good photos as the sun sank slowly into the Indian Ocean. (my sunset camel photo isn't as good as yours Di, however I still have a week to better it)
