Sun 18th July, 2010 - Day 51 - Broome

Today we attended Mass at the Broome Catholic Cathedral. We were astonished to find that this very ordinary looking church was classed as a Cathedral. Mudgee's Catholic Church would leave it for dead as far as looks go. However as they say church is not the building but the people who attend. Mass was celebrated by the local Bishop & two attending priests. The church was packed.
After Mass we picked up Lindy & Neil, together with their baggage. They were shifting accommodation today to the Broome Sanctuary Resort, which is only a short walking distance from us. We brought them to our van for lunch as they had to wait for a phone call from the Resort to let them know when their room would be ready.
Once Lindy & Neil had clearance we drove them to their new home & found it was a huge improvement on their very modest, previous dwelling & it was nice to have them closer to us.
Then it was back to our van where we spent the afternoon doing normal things.
