Sat 24th July, 2010 - Day 57 - Week 9

At about 7.30 this morning I drove the patrol over to the car wash,( we had seen a sign to it on our travels back & forth to the shopping centre ). When I arrived I found it was out of action. A bloke told me there was another one on the other side of town, so I headed for it. On arrival I found this to be a basic car wash. I washed the Patrol as best I could with no detergent, I then returned to the caravan, where after having breakfast I polished the vehicle, which filled the morning. Grandee gave me a hand towards the end; (she had been cleaning the inside of the van). The Patrol had been fairly dirty from our trip to the Pearl Farm. Now it looked like new & of course a few comments came from our neighbours, one being "are you getting it ready for the Gibb River Road?". To this I answered " of course, it makes the dust slip off easier!".
